Memorial Day 2024
Today is Memorial Day and I went to work. In my decades as a member of corporate America, I've never worked on Memorial Day until now.
This year is different. Many companies now are doing away with the traditional calendar of July 4th, Memorial Day and so on and just giving their workers a basket of days. "Do what thou wilt" is the direction from HR, at least when it comes to vacation time.
What is the origin of this strange yet spreading custom? Allow me to explain.
American corporations have become heavily reliant on Indian labor. European-Americans cannot, will not or are unable to replace themselves. Other ethnic groups are either too few or unable to function in the gray soup of corporate America. Indians are plentiful. They are everywhere now and will continue to take over more and more of the corporate world even as the empire lurches into the final stages of senescence.
But Indians like to go back to the motherland every year for long vacations and all of them that I know negotiate 30-days of PTO whenever they start a job. This of course means that all the American traditions and holidays interfere with the bloc of days they request to go back to their real homes for a month. Besides, they don't really care about July 4th and Memorial Day. America is a strip mall, an employment agency and what little identity it had has been worn down by decades of immigration piled onto a consumerist culture. This is not to blame any group for the demise of the sense of being American and this post is certainly not about Indians. It's about how immigration has transformed one small corner of American life.
Late last year, HR let us know that the concept of American holidays was now optional for everyone. They did not use those words exactly but that was clearly its purpose.
We were given a generous bucket of days for vacation, so in a sense, the noticeable imbalance in vacation time between Indians and Heritage Americans just led to us getting a more European-style amount of vacation time. No complaints about a month of paid time off.
If you plan to take off July 4th to go grill hotdogs, you need to fill out a request and submit it to the time tracking system. No longer will July 4th, the birthday of the American republic, be assumed as a holiday celebrated by the unified body of citizens. It's optional along with Memorial Day.
HR departments and corporate executives no longer see the point in trying to keep the traditional American calendar because there is no America. There are a significant number of employees who would rather fly back to their homelands with their vacation time and celebrate their customs there. Millions of Indians did not die to build, establish and expand the United States into the degenerate empire it is today.
Imagine drafting Indians to go fight Russia. Having worked with a lot of immigrants, they simply have no concept of a military draft and they cannot imagine themselves or their sons being called up to go fight and kill for the same ideals that back July 4th and Memorial Day. The Anglo-Saxon love of well-ordered, unnecessarily expensive violence and adventureism is wholly lacking in the Replacements who serve as the backbone of the New America. It's another positive thing along with the bump in vacation time. Multi-culturalism might be the thing that ends the Anglo-Saxon bloodlust and just possibly, prevent the nuclear holocaust that has become an all too real possibility in the Current Year.
Having burnt up the last vestiges of patriotism I had when they rolled out child gay marriage, genital mutilation version 2.0 and drag queen story hour, I don't really have any imperial holidays that I celebrate or even care about. I'm a post-America American. The foreign born colleagues in my company usually show up to the office on days once reserved for recollection and thanksgiving for the innumerable unnecessary sacrifices made, so that we might have a way of life that continues and perpetuates the tradition of pointless wars.
The quiet abolition of American civic holidays will spread to smaller businesses. Gay marriage was heavily peddled via corporate policy long before the time immemorial monopoly heterosexuals held on marriage was abolished by the opinion of lawyers and judges. I fully expect the new corporate policy that ends the traditional holiday calendar will spread to other parts of society.
The foreign born citizens have effectively removed the older imperial celebrations and there is nothing that can or will replace them. There is so much diversity now, so much fracture that the regime and the culture it sits atop can only continue demolishing itself. It cannot build anything.
We already have an entire month of gay pride and the list of anally-themed holidays only grows each year. This past easter, the White House used the occasion to declare a Trans Day of Visibility. Ad hoc holidays around sexual identity is not something which can replace the older days of commemoration of the war dead. War is evil, but in celebrating victory and the preservation of a way of life, there is a reminder of death. Pride Parades and child grooming sessions lack that implicit reminder that life is very fleeting, filled with all manner of suffering, dissastisfaction and anxiety. At least not overtly. Watching or being exposed to these is a form of suffering beyond the normal, both for fans and opponents of homosexualism.
The problem is that once the social glue is completely gone, there is nothing to hold it all together.
I watched the new movie Civil War over the weekend and it's of course no accident that the film is out at the same time that Americans would traditionally celebrate a holiday set to the most somber rememberances. The film foresees a violent breakdown, not an amicable break up like what the Soviet Union went through. If the people who are your "countrymen" no longer celebrate or honor the same values and traditions as the older generations, what bonds hold them together apart from memes and consumer fads? If a nation no longer celebrates the same major historical markers which define it, what happens when the economy goes south? Civil War is one answer.
The film is a dark depiction of how America ends but I suspect that the nation will continue to rot away quietly. It won't go out with a bang but more of a wimper. The West collectively is facing defeat in Ukraine. This looming disaster has already brought out the crazies who want to expand the war. I saw a recent video of Vickie Nudelman telling people that the U.S. needs to begin striking significant targets directly inside of Russia via its puppet Ukraine. Other impassioned cries for an escalation in the carnage have been raised in Europe as well, from people like Macron.
Still, I remain hopeful if not optimistic that Nothing Ever Happens will happen and a negotiated peace can be had in the near future. In the same way that Indians have brought an increase in vacation time and deflation of Anglo-Saxon war lust, I can see the New Americans reacting very badly to any conscription of themselves or their offspring into the customary conflicts and paranoid obsessions of white people. Yes, many Indians are hard left and listen to Rachel Maddow's scary stories about Russians, but recall that in the past several years, the ties between Russia and India have only gotten stronger. It's very hard to see young Indian men going along willingly with a draft that sees them fighting against their motherland's trade partner and ally. The degenerates who run America understand this, hence the talk of giving illegal aliens free citizenship if they sign up to kill wypipo in Europe under the Stars & Stripes.
Diaspora Indians are aware on some level that America is not the future, but rather a good place to earn a living for now until the new BRICS structure is more fully matured. It's difficult to see a world in which the New Americans go along with an intense conflict with Russia in Europe. If you don't give a fuck about July 4th, how are you going to react when the draft card shows up?
We remember today that e pluribus unum when applied with the zeal of open borders advocates leads to the abolition of some very negative aspects of white Western culture, particularly its obsession with war and violence. We can finally get the longer vacations and leisure time promised by technology.
